PyPDFSlide is a light tool for the creation of PDF slides using xml descriptions (with springs, links, ...). In conjonction with a xslt processor, it allows to get "complex" presentation using functional descriptions.

PyPDFSlide was used for actual presentations (seminar, auditions, ...). One of the advantages compared to WYSIWYG tools (ooimpress, ...) is "automatic placement", Xslt templates allow to generate table of contents, minitocs...

It is not a oncurrent of FOP since it is lighter (in terms of functionnalities) and specialized for slide generation.

• Better font handling,
• more templates (xslt files),
• image manipulation and caching (for faster generation),
• a more intuitive DTD (more similar to html, eventually compatible with ones from some slide presentation packages).
